Step-by-Step: How to Read Azarinth Healer

1. Start with Book One: 708 Kindle pages, or 24 hours 53 minutes on Audible. It covers chapters 1 to 74 of the web serial, per the Royal Road page.

2. Read books 2 to 6 by number: Portal's series page lists Book One to Book Seven one after another, plus a hardback edition, with no side stories, and Goodreads counts seven primary works and seven total works. The Royal Road description maps book 2 to chapters 75 to 151, book 3 to 152 to 323 and book 4 to 324 to 439.

3. Pick up Book Seven next: it came out on October 15, 2026, the date on Portal's book list ("October 15th 2026 Azarinth Healer Book Seven Rhaegar"), with 662 pages on Amazon and 21 hours 25 minutes on Audible (Andrea Parsneau). The date is also on our release calendar.

4. Use the series page to keep track: the Azarinth Healer series page has every book with a checklist for the ones you have finished.

The Audiobooks

Andrea Parsneau narrates all seven audiobooks for Portal Books, Book Seven included. By our sum of Audible's lengths, books 1 to 6 run 137 hours 5 minutes, about 22 hours 50 minutes per book. At 21 hours 25 minutes, Book Seven brings the total to 158 hours 30 minutes.

The audio usually lands with the ebook or within days. Books 3, 5, 6 and 7 came out on Audible the same day as the Kindle edition, book 1 a week later and book 2 eight days later. Book 4 was the exception: 85 days, from August 29 to November 22, 2024. The Royal Road description still carries the line "Book 4 audio has not launched yet", but the author's own post on the same page, dated November 22, 2024, reads "Azarinth Book 4 is out on audible today!", so that line is out of date.

Parsneau is also the first narrator of The Wandering Inn (books 1 to 15, see our Wandering Inn reading order), so if you know her voice from there, you know what you are getting.

Azarinth Healer Book 7: What We Know

Here is what each source said when we checked on October 15, 2026, release day:

  • Portal Books: its book list shows Azarinth Healer Book Seven under "Just Published", and its upcoming list still reads "October 15th 2026 Azarinth Healer Book Seven Rhaegar".
  • Amazon: the Kindle page gives "Publication date October 15, 2026" and 662 pages, "based on the print edition", with one rating so far.
  • Audible: on sale, dated October 15, 2026, 21 hours 25 minutes, read by Andrea Parsneau, published by Portal Books, with no ratings yet.
  • Goodreads: the series page counts "7 primary works"; book 7 had 7 ratings, averaging 4.86.

Book Seven's date is 254 days after Book Six, inside the range of the earlier gaps (140 to 280 days between ebooks). The audio length stayed at the 21 hours 25 minutes Audible listed on pre-order, while Amazon's page count fell from 886 on pre-order to 662 once it was based on the print edition. For book 8 we found no date on Portal, Amazon, Audible or the author's site; one book database lists it only as 2027, so treat that as unconfirmed.

Reading It on Royal Road

The Royal Road page (fiction 16946) is labeled "Original" and "STUB" and now keeps 24 entries in its table of contents: the first four chapters, a few numbered chapters from 930 to 936 and the author's release posts. The author explains the arrangement in the description: "the heavily edited section of the story will be exclusive to Amazon but a small cut of each sale goes to Royalroad."

The last numbered chapter, "Chapter 936 The next steps", is dated April 29, 2025, the day Book Five came out. Later posts are announcements: a new story, Journey to Veresavir, on October 25, 2025, "The edited and rewritten book 6 of Azarinth Healer is out on audible and kindle" on February 4, 2026, and a pre-order for a Book One hardcover on March 13, 2026. We did not find an on-sale date for that hardcover.

The page showed 23,110 followers, 15,612 favorites, 10,356 ratings, 2,195,664 total views and an overall score of 4.66 when we checked on October 10, 2026.

What Readers Say

Readers most often pitch it to fans of The Primal Hunter (see our Primal Hunter reading order). In an August 2024 r/litrpg thread, u/Mondays13 wrote: "Azarinth Healer is pretty similar to primal hunter. Lots of fight monsters under leveled." (comment, August 12, 2024). In April 2026, u/Sundara_Whale put it more briefly: "If you like more of the grind, try Azarinth Healer." (comment, April 29, 2026).

Not everyone is sold. u/Anomander8 grouped it with The Primal Hunter as "good but they’re kinda candy floss instead of something to really sink your teeth into." (comment, February 2, 2026). u/SGTmcpass, in a long review-style reply, saw it the other way: "Rhaegar’s style is deceptive. On the surface it’s simple and inviting, making you feel like one more chapter is a reasonable stopping point…" (comment, March 1, 2026).

Tips Before You Start

  • Buy the books, not the web version. Royal Road no longer has the full story; the edited books are on Kindle and Audible.
  • The first book is long. Book 1 runs 24 hours 53 minutes; book 2 is the quickest at 19 hours 22 minutes.
  • Book 6 was rewritten for publication, per the author's February 2026 post, so old web-serial discussions may not match the book.
  • Spoilers: threads about books 6 and 7 are recent; stay out of them until you catch up.

Our take

Based on the facts above, Azarinth Healer is an easy series to binge in order: numbered books with no side stories, one narrator, and audio that came out the same day as the ebook for books 3, 5, 6 and 7. At 158 hours for books 1 to 7 it is longer than Mage Tank (106) and much shorter than The Primal Hunter (298); our LitRPG reading orders page has the other series side by side. The ratings also rise as you go, from 4.64 on Audible for book 1 to 4.88 for book 5. The one thing to know before you start is that the free Royal Road version is now only a stub, so plan on the Kindle or Audible editions. Book Seven came out on October 15, 2026, so a new reader has about 137 hours of audio to get through before reaching it.

How we checked this

On October 10 and 11, 2026 we opened Portal Books' series page, book list and hardback page; the Amazon Kindle pages for books 1 to 7; the Audible product data for all seven audiobooks (re-checked on October 11 for titles, narrator, lengths and dates) and the Audible series page; the Goodreads series page (re-read on October 11 for every book's rating); the Royal Road fiction page, its table of contents and two author posts; and the author's book page. On October 15, the day Book Seven came out, we re-opened Portal's book list and series page, the Amazon Kindle pages for books 6 and 7, the Audible pages for all seven audiobooks and the series page, the Goodreads series page and the author's book page. Reader comments were copied from Reddit thread data saved on October 10, 2026. Totals, averages and day counts are our own arithmetic. A site-agent then compared every number in this article with our source table before publication.
