Caught up on Azarinth Healer and staring at the wait for the next one? There is no Azarinth Healer Book 8 release date yet: on October 25, 2026, ten days after Book Seven, no publisher or store listed it. Book Seven landed well. On our check date, Audible showed 4.93 from 357 ratings, the Kindle page 4.8 stars from 668 ratings and Goodreads 4.70 from 481 ratings. Amazon's Kindle page labels it "Book 7 of 7: Azarinth Healer".

Azarinth Healer Book 8: What Each Source Says

Here is what each page showed when we checked:

• Portal Books series page: "Volumes 7 Books Series ongoing". The list ends at Book Seven.
• Portal Books upcoming list: "What's Coming Next" has Loremaster: Bane of the Gods (October 29, 2026), Manifest Fantasy #2 (December 2026) and Ripple System #7 ("Expected Early 2027"). No Azarinth Healer title.
• Amazon: Book Seven is "Book 7 of 7". A Kindle store search for "Azarinth Healer Book Eight" returned Book Seven and Book One, nothing newer.
• Audible: the series page reads "7 books in series", with no pre-order.
• Goodreads: "7 primary works • 7 total works" on the series page.
• Rhaegar's author site: the book page has a Barnes & Noble hardcover pre-order and no book 8 text.
• Risingshadow (a book database): "Azarinth Healer Book Eight", "2027", "Upcoming". It gives no day, month or source.

So the honest answer is that Azarinth Healer Book 8 is not announced. The "2027" is a database entry. When Portal, Amazon or Audible lists a date, it goes on our release calendar.

How Many Azarinth Healer Books Will There Be?

Ten. That comes from the author, not a database. In his release-day post on r/litrpg, titled "Hello everyone! This is Rhaegar, here to announce book 7 of Azarinth Healer!", he wrote: "This is book 7/10. Book 10 will conclude the series." He added that "We’re getting into endgame territory" (post). The same account, u/G_Harthane, has posted Azarinth Healer release news on r/litrpg since Book One in 2022.

So the series has a planned end, and the Azarinth Healer Book 8 wait is the first of three. Books 8, 9 and 10 are left. No store or publisher page lists any of them yet.

Analysis: When Could Azarinth Healer Book 8 Come Out?

Book 8's date will most likely follow the series' pace. Here are the Kindle ebook dates from Amazon and the days since the previous book:

The gaps run from 140 to 280 days, 236 on average. Counted from Book Seven's release day, that range falls between March 4 and July 22, 2027, and the average lands on June 8, 2027. The Risingshadow "2027" fits that window. Still, this is arithmetic on past gaps, not a date from Portal Books or Rhaegar.

Three more books at the average gap would put book 10 around September 2028. That is the same sum run three times, so treat it as a rough scale only. Short version: plan on years, not months.

The audio question is simpler. Books 3, 5, 6 and 7 came out on Audible the same day as the ebook, and books 1 and 2 a week or so later. Book 4 was the outlier, 85 days later. If book 8 follows the recent pattern, listeners will not wait longer than readers.

Desk note: Our series data puts books 1 to 7 at 158 h 30 m on Audible. At an hour a day, a new listener catches up in 159 days, 77 days faster than the average gap between books.

How You Will Hear About It

Two places are worth watching. Portal Books puts dated titles in its "What's Coming Next" list; Book Seven sat there as "October 15th 2026" before release. Rhaegar posts on r/litrpg. For books 1 and 2 he posted the date ahead of time: his March 27, 2023 post said Book Two was "Available now for pre-order", out April 20. For books 4 to 7 the post came on release day.

In the Meantime: The Book One Hardback

Portal Books' hardback page says Azarinth Healer: Book One "is coming to a bookstore near you in hardback on October 27th, 2026". The page links a Barnes & Noble pre-order and shows no price. It is Book One in a new format, not new story. If you know someone you want to start on the series, it is the new way in.

The reaction to Book Seven on r/litrpg was quick. u/Sundara_Whale wrote, "Second Azarinth Healer, book 7 just dropped and its a good one." Not everyone is counting the days. On r/ProgressionFantasy, u/cleanworkaccount0 wrote: "Azarinth is fine but it's...there's no stakes. Like it's a list in the form of a story instead of an actual story." (comment, October 15, 2026). Others binge it fast. Under Rhaegar's Book Seven post, u/Infamous-Panic5673 wrote: "I started with book 1 on September 18th and finished book 6 yesterday." (comment, October 15, 2026).

Our take

Our pick: start or keep going now; book 8 is unlikely before March 2027. Every gap so far has been at least 140 days, and the catch-up time on audio (159 days at an hour a day) is shorter than the average wait. A planned end at book 10 also means this wait has a finish line. For another long wait with no official date, see Iron Prince book 3.

Skip it (for now) if: you only start series that are finished. Three books are left, and at the past pace that is years.

What we don't know yet: the month of book 8, and whether Andrea Parsneau reads it. No store had a listing when we checked.
