Andrea Parsneau Audiobooks: Where to Start in LitRPG

Andrea Parsneau audiobooks in LitRPG: The Wandering Inn 1 to 15, Azarinth Healer, Singer of Terandria and Cat Core, with lengths and where to start.

9 min readBy LevelUpShelf EditorialLast reviewed

TL;DR: Start with The Wandering Inn if you want one huge world (15 books, 599 hours 35 minutes in her voice) or Azarinth Healer for faster LitRPG with stats (seven books, 158 hours). Cat Core is the short, light option. From The Wandering Inn book 16 on, the narrator is Erin Bennett.

Andrea Parsneau audiobooks are where a lot of LitRPG listeners first heard of The Wandering Inn: she read the first 15 books, about 600 hours, before handing the series to a new narrator in 2025. She also reads every Azarinth Healer book, pirateaba's Singer of Terandria spin-off, Cat Core and more. This guide covers the LitRPG series she narrates, how long each takes, what changed on The Wandering Inn, and where to start, with every length and date checked on Audible on October 11, 2026 and Azarinth Healer rechecked on October 20.

Key Takeaways

  • Six LitRPG series, 36 audiobooks, 982 hours 23 minutes by our sum of Audible's lengths.
  • The Wandering Inn books 1 to 15 are hers; Erin Bennett reads book 16 onward.
  • Azarinth Healer is still going: Book Seven came out on Audible on October 15, 2026, read by her again.
  • She stepped back from The Wandering Inn because of burnout, in her words, not money.
  • Not every title is LitRPG: her own site files 18 of her series under a separate "Harem" menu.

Overview: who Andrea Parsneau is

Her site describes her as "an award-winning narrator focused on bringing a story to life via unique and identifiable character voices", without naming the award, and lists her genres as "Fantasy, Scifi, LitRPG/GameLit, Harem and Satire". The same page presents Rebel Art, VO as "a full service producer for narration and voice over audio". Audible's narrator search for her name returned 210 results on October 11, 2026, a count that also includes bundles such as the Tower of Somnus Omnibus, Books 1-3, so it is not a count of separate books.

Her site's menu sorts her series into two lists: "Gamelit" (22 series, including The Wandering Inn, Azarinth Healer, Cat Core and Singer of Terandria) and "Harem" (18 series). This guide sticks to the LitRPG and GameLit side.

Listeners name her as a reason to pick a book. In an r/litrpg thread asking what could beat Dungeon Crawler Carl on audio, u/luckiest123's whole answer was "Anything narrated by Andrea Parsneau" (comment, December 30, 2025).

The Wandering Inn: Books 1 to 15, Then a New Narrator

The Wandering Inn is the series most listeners know her from, and the one where she is no longer the narrator. Her announcement put it plainly: "I will be stepping back as the narrator of The Wandering Inn." She gives the reason in one line, "I was creatively burnt out", and adds that the cost "has absolutely nothing to do with money."

The rest of the announcement explains the strain: as the world grew, she found herself "with fewer and fewer unique voices and characterizations to use for characters that truly deserve them." She dates the turning point to the end of 2024 and writes that "Some stories are bigger than one storyteller."

What that means for listeners:

  • Books 1 to 15 are hers, from The Wandering Inn (September 10, 2019) to Garden of Sanctuary (April 1, 2025). Asked whether they will be re-recorded, her FAQ says her performance on those books "is dipped in bronze and won't be going anywhere!"
  • Book 1 is a revised edition. Audible's page says it "has been rewritten by pirateaba and re-recorded by Andrea Parsneau. This revised edition includes new scenes and perspectives."
  • Book 16 onward is Erin Bennett. The Google Play listing for King of Duels says it "marks the passing of the torch from our beloved Andrea Parsneau to a new narrator." It came out on Audible July 29, 2025, 119 days after book 15. Erin Bennett reads books 16 to 19, and Audible dates book 20, Memory's Flame, for November 3, 2026.

Our Wandering Inn reading order lists every book and format, and the Wandering Inn audiobook 20 release date guide covers Erin Bennett's latest.

Where to Start With Andrea Parsneau Audiobooks

Pick by how much time you have and how much game you want on the page.

1. The Wandering Inn, for one enormous world. Fifteen audiobooks in her voice, averaging just under 40 hours each, and book 2, Fae and Fare, alone runs 61 hours 4 minutes. If you start here, plan for the switch to Erin Bennett at book 16.

2. Azarinth Healer, for LitRPG with stats. Seven books, 158 hours 30 minutes, about 23 hours per book, and book 1 has the second-most ratings in our table (5,120). Book Seven came out on Audible on October 15, 2026, 254 days after book 6, with her as narrator. Our Azarinth Healer reading order has every book.

3. Singer of Terandria, for more of pirateaba's world. Three books, Gravesong, Huntsong and Ghostsong, all by pirateaba and all read by her; the last came out May 13, 2025, after her final Wandering Inn book.

4. Cat Core, for something short. Three books, 31 hours 21 minutes in all. It is on our dungeon core books list, which only takes series whose Audible blurb makes the hero a dungeon core.

Analysis: what the numbers say about her LitRPG work

Two patterns stand out.

The Wandering Inn dwarfs the rest. Its 599 hours are more than the other five series combined (382 hours 48 minutes). Its book 1 also has the most ratings of any title here, 14,529, nearly three times Azarinth Healer's book 1.

Her catalog spans small and big publishers. Podium Audio publishes four of the six series. Dominion of Blades, an older series by Dungeon Crawler Carl author Matt Dinniman, lists Dinniman himself as publisher; book 1 came out on Audible June 22, 2017. Library System Reset is her newest long series, with six books from July 2, 2024 to April 28, 2026; its Audible titles call it "A Magical Library LitRPG Adventure".

What Listeners Say

Two of the comments we saved compare her directly with the genre's other big voice. u/xiaolin99: "Andrea Parsneau is like the female version of Jeff Hays - can 100% imitate the voice of the opposite gender." (comment, December 30, 2025). u/W_Rabbit went further: "She's the most impressive narrator I've heard short of Jeff Hays, and honestly, I couldn't say which is more talented." (comment, February 2, 2026). Our Jeff Hays audiobooks guide covers the other half of that comparison.

On Azarinth Healer, u/Drunkenwolf45 wrote: "I'd recommend Azarinth Healer! I had a lot of fun with this series, and Andrea Parsneau is probably my favorite female voice actor." (comment, March 12, 2026). Not every listener rates the story as highly as the voice. u/omaharock: "Azarinth Healer har a very good narrator, the books aren't as high quality as the others I mentioned though, definitely carried a little by being narrated by Andrea Parsneau." (comment, June 3, 2026).

Our take

Based on the facts above, The Wandering Inn is still the definitive Andrea Parsneau listen: 15 books and almost 600 hours, a revised book 1 in her voice, and a clean hand-off point at book 16. If that is too big, Azarinth Healer gives you her voice on a tighter LitRPG, now seven books with the seventh out since October 15, and Cat Core is a three-book sampler. Check the genre before buying anything else under her name: her own site files a large part of her catalog as harem, and it says so.

How we checked this

On October 11, 2026 we ran Audible's narrator search for Andrea Parsneau (five pages of 50) and read the Audible product data (narrator, length, date, publisher, rating) for every title in the six series above, re-checking Gravesong, both Dominion of Blades books, Cat Core, Overdue and Azarinth Healer Book Seven live. On October 20, 2026 we re-read Audible's data for all seven Azarinth Healer audiobooks, after Book Seven came out on October 15. We read her site's About and Announcements pages and the Google Play page for King of Duels. Wandering Inn books 16 to 20 come from the source tables of our Wandering Inn guides, checked the same week. Totals and day counts are our own arithmetic. Reddit quotes were copied from thread data saved on October 10, 2026. A site-agent then compared every number with our source table before publication.
