Iron Prince Book 3: Release Date Status and Series Order
Iron Prince book 3 has no official release date as of Oct 11, 2026. What each source says, the two-book Warformed: Stormweaver order and 66 h of audio.

Iron Prince book 3 has no official release date. When we checked on October 11, 2026, Amazon, Audible and the publisher's own store all listed just two books in Bryce O'Connor's Warformed: Stormweaver series, and the only "2027" we found came from a book database, not the author. Below is what each source says, the order of the two books that are out, and how long the gaps have been so far.
TL;DR: Read Iron Prince, then Fire and Song. That is the whole series for now: 2,131 Kindle pages or 66 hours 32 minutes of Luke Daniels on Audible. Book 3 has no date and no listing on Amazon or Audible as of October 11, 2026. One database lists it for 2027; nothing official backs that up yet.
Key Takeaways
- Two books out: Iron Prince (Kindle October 15, 2020) and Fire and Song (Kindle and Audible October 31, 2023).
- No official book 3 date: no Amazon or Audible listing, and the Wraithmarked Creative store shows only books 1 and 2, as of October 11, 2026.
- The "2027" is unofficial: it comes from the Risingshadow database ("tentatively expected in 2027"), with no source given.
- Long gaps: 1,111 days between the two Kindle releases; 1,076 days since book 2 on our check date.
- One narrator: Luke Daniels reads both audiobooks for Podium Audio, 66 hours 32 minutes in all.
Overview
Iron Prince is a science fiction progression series by Bryce O'Connor, with Luke Chmilenko as co-author on book 1. Amazon and Goodreads call the series Warformed: Stormweaver; Audible files it as "Stormweaver Series". The ebooks are published by Wraithmarked Creative, LLC, Bryce O'Connor's imprint, and the audiobooks by Podium Audio.
Audible's series page sets up the premise in two lines: "Reidon Ward will become a god." Then: "He doesn't know it yet, of course. Reidon was born weak, sickly, and small." Fantasy-Faction's June 8, 2026 review calls it "what I'd call a progression sci-fi", where an alien technology called a CAD (Combat Assistance Device) does the job that magic or a game System does in other series. The reviewer also says "the book's formula is almost point-for-point a shounen battle manga". If you are unsure where that sits between the two labels, our progression fantasy vs LitRPG explainer covers the difference.
It is one of the series readers name often in the recommendation threads we save: 52 of the 4,433 comments in our data mention it, across 18 of the 43 threads.

Iron Prince Book 3: What Each Source Says
Here is what we found on October 11, 2026, and again on October 17:
- Amazon: book 1 and book 2 are labeled "Book 1 of 2" and "Book 2 of 2". No book 3 product page or pre-order.
- Audible: the Stormweaver series page shows "2 books in series". No pre-order.
- Goodreads: "2 primary works • 2 total works" on the series page.
- Wraithmarked Creative store: the Warformed collection sells only merchandise: deluxe bookmarks for Iron Prince and Fire and Song, a playmat and a patch. Nothing for book 3, and no book 3 among the store's pre-orders.
- Risingshadow (a book database): has a page for "Warformed: Stormweaver Book 3" with "EXPECTED RELEASE 2027" under Publication and the line "Publication is tentatively expected in 2027." It does not say where the date comes from.
So the honest answer to "when does Iron Prince book 3 come out" is: not announced. The 2027 year is the only date in circulation, and it is a database entry. When Amazon or Audible lists a pre-order, we will add the date to our release calendar.
The Kindle pages do point to one place for news: "Check out Bryce's imprint, Wraithmarked Creative, on Patreon for early access chapters and books". One reader said in June 2025 that "you can preview the third on patreon"; the Patreon page we opened showed only the profile, not the posts, so take that as a reader's report.

Analysis: The Two-Book Series Order
Goodreads counts 2 primary and 2 total works and Audible lists 2 books, so there are no side stories or novellas to fit in. Kindle dates and pages are from Amazon; audio dates, lengths and ratings from Audible; Goodreads ratings from the series page. All checked October 11, 2026.
| # | Title | Kindle | Pages | Audible | Length | Audible rating | Goodreads |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Iron Prince | Oct 15, 2020 | 1,082 | Mar 23, 2021 | 33 h 55 m | 4.78 (7,691) | 4.57 (19,501) |
| 2 | Fire and Song | Oct 31, 2023 | 1,049 | Oct 31, 2023 | 32 h 37 m | 4.79 (5,941) | 4.60 (10,773) |
Both books are long. At 1,082 and 1,049 Kindle pages they come to 2,131 pages, and the audiobooks add up to 66 hours 32 minutes by our sum. Page counts vary by edition: Goodreads gives book 1 850 pages, so do not be surprised if a print listing shows a different number.
The release pattern matters if you are deciding when to start. Iron Prince's audiobook followed the ebook by 159 days, while Fire and Song came out on Kindle and Audible the same day. Between the two Kindle releases there were 1,111 days, a little over three years. By our check date it had been 1,076 days since Fire and Song. If book 3 does land in 2027, the gap after book 2 will be at least 1,158 days (to January 1, 2027), longer than the first one.

The Audiobooks
Luke Daniels narrates both books, and Podium Audio publishes them. Ratings are close: 4.78 from 7,691 ratings for Iron Prince and 4.79 from 5,941 for Fire and Song on Audible. Audible's series page showed 13,632 ratings across the series on October 11, 2026. On Amazon the Kindle editions held 4.8 stars from 18,091 ratings (book 1) and 11,217 ratings (book 2).
Listeners like the value per credit. u/geezuz83 wrote in February 2026: "I quite like the Iron Prince Books. There is only 2 so far but at over 32 hours each, there is good value in the audible credits. I like the power progression in that one. Its well narrated even if he doesn't have the greatest range to differentiate the characters." (comment, February 25, 2026).
The voices take some getting used to for others. u/MaxArtyx wrote: "The audible voices take a bit to get used to. Great first two books though, waiting on that third." (comment, June 22, 2025).

What Readers Say
The pitch readers give is short. u/CerberusRTR, in a June 2025 r/litrpg thread: "Iron Prince! College Age Harry Potter, but instead of magic, there's essentially evolving mech suits. Great cast, lots of combat and fast paced. Highly enjoyable as an audio book!" (comment, June 20, 2025).
Two caveats come up. In a September 2026 thread asking for books like Cradle, u/gap1284 noted: "It does have some stat panels though." (comment, September 15, 2026). And not everyone is a fan of its spot near the top of reader lists: "I want to throw up anytime I see Iron Prince or Quest Academy on the top of people's lists", wrote u/wckz (comment, March 12, 2026).
Our take
Based on the facts above, Iron Prince is an easy series to start and a hard one to finish, because it is not finished. Two books, one narrator and about 66 hours of audio make a tidy commitment, and both books rate within a hundredth of each other on Audible. The catch is the wait: the first gap was just over three years, book 3 has no official date, and the one "2027" floating around comes from a database. If open-ended waits bother you, do what the Fantasy-Faction reviewer did and hold off, or pick a finished series from our LitRPG reading orders. If you want a long sci-fi-flavored listen now, the two books stand up on their own ratings, and our best LitRPG audiobooks list has more long listens.
How we checked this
On October 11, 2026 we opened the Audible series page, the Audible product data for both audiobooks and Audible's search and author listings; the Amazon Kindle pages for both ebooks and an Amazon Kindle search; the Goodreads series page and book 1 page; the Risingshadow pages for the series, book 1 and book 3; the Wraithmarked Creative store; the Fantasy-Faction review of Iron Prince (June 8, 2026); the Wraithmarked Patreon page (profile only); and Royal Road's search. We could not find a working author site. On October 17 we opened the Amazon, Audible, Goodreads, Wraithmarked and Risingshadow pages again before publication. Reader comments were copied from Reddit thread data saved on October 10, 2026. Totals and day counts are our own arithmetic. A site-agent then compared every number in this article with our source table before publication.
