Cozy LitRPG is the low-danger end of the genre: farming, fishing or running an inn, with the leveling kept and the dread turned down. Readers also call it slice of life. No publisher sells it as a shelf, so our cozy list was built from readers' own words: we searched 4,433 Reddit comments saved on October 10, 2026 for words like cozy, slice of life, low stakes, wholesome, chill and lighter, and counted a comment for a series only when the word was about that series. That gave 43 comments across 10 series.
Two series took most of that count: Beware of Chicken with 18 comments and Heretical Fishing with 9, whose Audible title calls it "A Cozy Guide". Not every reader likes the label. One r/ProgressionFantasy reader drew a line between "actual slice of life" and "the weird cozy/unserious stuff this sub calls slice of life", so expect some argument over where a series belongs.
